An intelligent explanation of why the iPhone 6 Plus warping (bend)

iPhone 6 plus bending

Experts blame several things by the case of the iPhone 6 Plus warping, since the weak aluminum case to force the butt of people. But while we do not know exactly what makes some smartphones entortarem, here's a plausible structural explanation with diagrams at the moment and everything.

A user who goes by the name alleras4 used Imgur to speculate that the folding of the body 6 Plus is not only because of the resistance of the aluminum body. There is no way to check if this is true, but it is interesting to see how the explanation corresponds to disassemble the iFixit. They argue that Warped is caused by an internal reinforcement of smartphone design, behind the volume knob. Ali, the metal reinforcement ends with a screw, leaving the body prone to stress.

"This means that the metal insert is not able to absorb the moment as close to the bolt because there is no other substantial to hold point, then he turns and this results in folding", explained alleras4. Behold this screw from the inside:

alleras 4 explains that this is where stress accumulates, and he (or she) illustrates this using a diagram of the time (the image that opens the beginning of the post), which is a simple tool to draw where the forces (in this case, your hands or ass) reach a beam (in this case 6 Plus), resulting in higher moments (the most likely deformation points, or fold). This also explains why most smartphones we saw - especially those who purposely warped - experienced the most stress on a particular point.

In other words, has nothing to do with weight or strong fingers. This happens when you hit 6 Plus in a very specific place, a specific angle, where the internal design of Apple hardware is flawed:

Of course, as alleras4 highlights, this is based on simple structural logic and disassemble. There may be a completely different explanation. But it also explains why official reports of bent iPhones are so limited, and because most common Apple users will not go through it.

So there you go: put your iPhone in the pocket of your tightest jeans without fear. Just be careful not to warp it well in place
